i'm on the same OS and a radeon HD2600. i doubt that it makes a difference. in fact, if it would, it would be beyond the scope of VC. did you contact access support?

best, marc

Marc,
Thanks for all of your help. I initially wasn't really asking for help on this forum. Just making an observation that i know may only be true on my machine. I will definitely call tech support if i cannot troubleshoot it. I would like to try and swap out my video card first and see what happens. Again, I really appreciate your trying to help me out. Access is a great company with great products.

Regards,

Mike

I've experienced the same issues with the VCC plugin in PTLE 8.

My setup is as follows.
Macbook Pro 2.16 c2d | 4gigs RAM | 320gig 7200rpm drive | 128mg ATI PCIe
Mbox Pro 2 Firewire
Virus TI Keyboard 2.7.5

The issue is the same as the original poster. I can load up the plugin, and click around and it's fine, however after closing and reopening the plugin, the mouse pointer is offset and I can only fix this if I remove the plugin and then re-insert it.

This problem also occurs in the template's I've made that already include the VCC on an instrument channel.

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the TI Software.

Update: 01-19-09

Reformatted my Macbook Pro.
Clean install of Leopard
Downloaded and installed Combo Update 10.5.5
Installed PTLE 8
Installed Virus Control and Update to 3.0
Nothing else has been installed as of yet as I did not want any potential conflicts to occur with other apps.

Same issue is still prevalent. Upon initiating the VCC as an insert, all controls appear to work fine. After closing the plugin and re-opening it, the mouse cursor is still offset. ie: clicking "Part 1" will select "Part 5".

Only by removing the VCC insert and re-instantiating it, does the mouse control function normally.

I've confirmed the issue is occurring with both VCC RTAS plugins 2.7.5 and 3.0

My audio units work great in Ableton Live and Logic Pro.

The issue described by Sysex does not occur in Pro Tools M-Powered 8.0 on my PC. VC seems just as stable as it was in 2.5/2.7 in OS 3.0

I have confirmed the PC Version of PTLE 8 with VCC does in fact work on my Dell Latitude d620 | 1.6 c2d | 1.5gigs RAM | IntelGMA
In fact they both work better than my more powerful macbook pro.

So far I've only seen this post in regards to the RTAS plug in PTLE 8 on Mac, so I'm guessing its a system/hardware issue maybe?

In either case, I don't *have* to use the VCC to lay down parts, but it sure would be nice to figure out why the mouse cursor offsets the way it does when the plug in is re-opened. (doesn't happen with any other 3rd party plugins I've installed.) I suppose the one saving grace is that I can have the VCC instantiated and not even have to look at it or open for it to remember all the parts I've created or assigned when I save the Pro Tools Session. (Love that feature fyi)

Sysex,

Does/did the cursor offset issue happen at all in Pro Tools 7.4/7.4.2 or did it only start happening with Pro Tools 8.0?

I didn't have a chance to test 7.4. with the VCC plugin, however I can boot from an external Clone of my disk and test it out there.
