hey man that isnt your analogue background, i have never used an analogue synth that is the first thing i noticed about the virus...I use unison in dang near every patch but i have been finding new ways to excite the sound without using unison...

peace

Hey guys I'd really appreciate it if u could try out my sounds and tell me what you think! 20 sounds + 15 EFX for external processing. I really dont know what the EFX will sound like....but it sounded great on the Prophet 5 hehe.

Ive made an effort to make some diverse sounds.......only 3 dance/techno type sounds im afraid hehe. Some of my favourites include:

All of them! hehehe

This concludes my contribution towards the forum members soundset.

*Plz note alot of the sounds use the moog filter.....and thus will sound different to the Virus LP.

Thx

Hey DS,

I finaly got a chance to put your sounds into my VC and I must say there are some nice ones for sure. I kept 6 or 7 sounds from the batch. I didn't keep any FX pacthes though, as I have heaps already.

Favourite sounds are;

D'screams.
Almstreal.
Perfect'n.
Iron fist.
The stand.
Fantazia.

Your pads are the better ones to play though. One thing with the basses - I noticed you had detuned unison pan spread alot on the bass sounds. Not something I like so much (well not for bass anyway).

Anyway, I made a recording as I was playing around with the patches - if you wanna hear it let me know and we can transfer it over messenger or something. One thing though, I changed the Amp and Filter release with Perfect'n when I was playing them.

Yes m8, I'd love to hear that recording

Thx for ur input on the sounds! Are you referring to 'London'81' as the bass patch that uses alot of unison detune? In fact that is the sort of bass sound a Prophet5 puts out when stuck into unison mode. I dont tend to use heavy unison on bass.....but I was going for that distinctly retro analog poly bass sound hehe.

If u have made a little demo clip of some kind.....it would be amusing to have it posted here lol.

Thx for taking the time to check out my sounds.....and post a comment. Its appreciated thx m8

Plz let me know when I can check out some of ur sounds!

DS,

Just to let you know that I am quite keen to hear your sounds. But I won't be back home until Thursday night, as I'll be on the road (or rivers as they currently are in England).

Will definately have a play though and let you know what I think.

Till then.

I'm not sure which bass patches it was actually (it was a few), although I remeber the "double bass" patch had some pan spread and sounded better when I upped the voices and took away the pan spread. It's not really the detuned unison that is the problem though, it's the pan spread that can make trouble - makes it hard to get bass to sit nicely in a mix.

I will send some of my patches to you soon. I have been programming heavily the past few weeks using the new filters alot, so should make for some cool sounds I think.
