How do I automate the Filter Key Follow/Tracking ?

I see it as a source , not a destination...so....could I assign it to modulate filter cutoff as a destination on slot 1 - amount 1 and then on another slot use controller 12 controlling slot 1 amount 1.. which is linked to a soft knob and then try that way maybe ???

I was just experimenting with a psytrance lead on another softsynth and while modulating the filter tracking, I heard a few familiar sorts of filter aticulations, that I have heard in many tracks...I was not able to reproduce that by only tweaking the cutoff or env amount or attack, decay etc...seemed like I could only do it with the tracking/key follow....


Edit : Yes!! That worked...wow...quite round about...but It worked !!
