Yes, the Virus has a very distinct sound... It sounds more gritty and bassy then a Nord Lead, for example, which has more energy on the upper mid and high zones. I should remind you, that even with your synth dialogue strategy going on (and by the way, nice collection growing there... ) you should always try to get your way arround a synth to get it the nearest it can to the desired sound - and trust me, you'll be learning a lot about the machine and its limits on the process. With those synths you have, there's also the obvious diference between virtual analogue and pure analogue sound - with its special warmth.
