I'll attempt to clairfy,

In previous versions of Logic, when using an external hardware synth or sampler; an Aux Input had to be created for the audio input, and to trigger it via midi, one had to create a "Multi Instrument" in the environment, then name it and enable any midi channels on that "multi instrument object" so that it will appear in the arrange windows menu when re-assigning or creating new midi tracks.

the alternate setup, that mimics the way the TI is setup in Live and ProTools would be to...

Create a new environment layer. Insert a single Instrument Channel Object for the VCC; then, insert a new "Multi Instrument" into the same layer and connect its output to the Instrument Channel Object, which gives you up to 16 channels/tracks of midi to send to the VCC Instrument Channel.

This setup only differs in that, the level meters display their signal independantly of each other instead of all the level meters showing the same signal.

I'll post screenshots in a little bit... to clarify... i'm not trying to complain or say it's a bug, i just find it interesting how Logic's setup differs the way it does in other DAW's.
