As the OP and unabashed fan of 3.0.0.0, I also got the "no TI connected" and the first sounds were stuck Init patch notes but after a power off and on of everything it hasn't been a problem eversince. And I've used it a lot, powering it on and off a few times a day.
Snoozer, you can uninstall 3.0.0.0 any time. Its a normal windows uninstall, or on a Mac the uninstaller is in Applications/Access. Then you can run the installer for 2.7.5 or 2.7.3. If you have trouble with the firmware update of an earlier OS, start suspecting your computer. B
