Its a TI desktop, remote midi keyboard, VC via the USB into the powerbook.
I've had a bit more of a play, and I think I've got a bit closer.

I think i'm going to have to turn delay compensation off totally, as when I set the synth to OUT1+2, the DAW output through the TI remains delay compensated as per the Logic audio settings.

I'm not really massively worried about sample accuracy while writing, just for the mix.
Its a shame, as Cubase doesn't throw a curve ball like that.

Or I could use the firewire interface as well and run the TI through its inputs for writing.
Its just that the Powerbook and the TI looked great on their tod on the desk, very minimalist.
