We would get an answer from the bank on Monday and suprise, suprise.. it is the same day as we could swing by the apartment and check it out for "real"..

I really do hope we get the loan, the apartment looks nice from the photos and from what we read so far about the apartment and neighbourhood it is all good!

That's a freakin' beautiful pad Bro. Good luck!

I used some of the pictures as my desktop wallpaper today to remind me of a beautiful European winter.

We have rain and muggy weather here...74 degrees Fahrenheit today and rain.

Blech!

Alright.. Still no answer from the bank as they promised but we went to see the place yesterday and it's really beutiful! We both really want this place! It's alot smaller than we both thought but then again;

We're living in a 3-bedroom apartment right now (104 m2)
This was an small 2 bedroom apartment (60 m2)

We would loose 44m2; but then again our hall is around ~25-30m2 and we're not using even 20% of that area.

We would loose 1 bedroom = 10-12m2 and the bathroom was alot smaller aswell, but we don't need that much storage anyways as we already are having problems with getting enough furniture (one of the bedrooms we do have now acctually echos when you talk in it as all we got in there is an closet!).

The new place was repaired 2004; no major work is being done on the house as they fixed the roof 2004 on the whole building aswell!

They also built an Sauna back in 2004! (GREAT STUFF!!) aswell as they got loads of more rooms in the building that you could use; carpentry and even more stuff!

When we checked the place out there was ~3-4 other families there that noone of them were intrested in the place but that doesn't mean that noones intrested as they showed it on Sunday aswell.

ARGH! I want it!

Good luck. Sometimes the fixer uppers are a better investment if you are willing to put in the work. It just means more $$ when you go to sell it!

Ärsch, we lost the it! We were really intrested until it went over 1.000.000:- SEK. I think it went for ~1.500.000:-, that would mean that it cost 25.000:- SEK / M2.

We could buy an apartment right in the Stockholm Central for that kind of money! We're looking around for other places
