hmm... i think i might invest ina UAD card soon. ive read too many good reviews....

do you think TC will come out with a version 2 of PC FW soon?

No I don't think so. They have so much trouble with the current powercore firewire and compatibility with PCs. Maybe that was the reason they announced the Powercore PCI mk2, which is the same engine as poco firewire and the same plugins and price. PCI just works better in most cases. The troubles begin when people start daisy chaining the firewire devices. Poco firewire doesn't work with other firewire devices connected to the same firewire interface. There are also so many different firewire chips available that TC or any other company cannot follow them and guarantee 100% compatibility with every brand. They have no time to test every setup. Macs are in better position because they all use about the same chipsets and there are only a few models available so TC can test them better than PCs.

I've heard there are also lots of problems with firewire interfaces and DV digicams. So not only the poco firewire.
