RIP. Bad was the very first album I ever bought - it was on cassette tape. Whether you like his music or not, his impact on the music industry has been so wide and deep that his influence on the music we listen to and write today is inescapable.

Agreed, Off the wall in particular.
Off the wall was co-written and Produced by Jackson with Quincy Jones, Paul Mcartney and Stevie Wonder amongst others.
What a lineup, with people like George Duke and wah wah Watson, just proves how talented he was at that time.
RIP Michael Jackson you sweet, strange, misunderstood and very talented man.

Ah, you shouldn't put off visiting Japan, Hobbo! You'll find yourself astonishingly enriched for the journey. I went there, solo, in December 2007, and i didn't want to come back. Spent the first 4 days in Tokyo with my mate, checking out Disneyland Sea (lol), Odaiba, Shinjuku (whoa, what a crazy place!), Shibuya, Taito (where i was staying!), then he had to go ear money so i buggered off on my bill! I went to Osaka first, then Hiroshima, then to Kyoto before heading off to my mate's home town of Toyama!
What memories! (^_^)
Do yourself a favour, make it a priority.

Also you forgot to mention - Osaka okonomiyaki is quite possibly one of the most delicious things I have ever eaten.

DAMN YOU!!!! You are not to mention that again! Grrrr (>_<) You're correct of course, this is one of the most delicious things i have eaten, also! (Which is why i flipped out! lol) In fact, my friend delights in sending me pics of his Okonomiyaki when he goes to eat at RuRu's in Takaoka, which is in fact just like my home town of Runcorn, with Toyama being like Liverpool!

I had job lined up with NOVA roughly two years ago just before everything hit the fan for them - my sister and her bf had worked for them on and off for years, but obviously once they stopped paying employees etc I turned it down.
Kind of threw a spanner in the works for me life wise but these things happen - still want to go live there for a year or so (in Osaka or close by), and give time to immerse myself in the culture (and the delicious okonomiyaki), perhaps when I finish my bachelor and can get in there a bit easier.
