If you use a third party audio interface for playback and recording the virus, the sound quality will be better if you use a better/higher quality soundcard (off course)
There are a lot of topics about the analogs outs vs. USB outs. Also here when you use a better soundcard, the USB outs will sounds better of course.
Some people believe the analog outs sounds better, but because there is a lot of discussion about this, I think it's not a big difference, else verybody will be convinced that analog outs do sound better and thats not the case.
You do not need a Midi interface to use the Virus Ti without Virus Control. You can use the Virus Ti Midi driver (Midi over USB) wich you can use without the use of VC.
