There is: there are plenty of plug-ins suited for the job. There's izotope RX, for example. Or waves audio's Xnoize. The later works exactly like you say: there's a learn button (you need to isolate a part with the kind of noise you want out, and then adjust some sliders to remove it - with good visual feedback. Also, another way of removing noise is to use a gate with the threshold set to the noise gain (so it doesn't take away the good stuff), but it doesn't always work. You should try all this stuff on a track to track basis, don't try to remove it from the master bus, it can seriously damage your mix, and your transients. By the way, no easy task. Good luck!
