Yeah but it's basically the same procedure I stated earlier, minus having to delete any patches happening to be in the bank..
But yeah, it's smarter to have an empty bank like "my patches" always available for duplicating. It's not like I make new banks all the time either, but I think it's basic functionality that needs to be there. Anyways, I was told they would pass my suggestion on, but couldn't promise anything. So we'll see!
Imagine working in Photoshop, and when you wanted to make a new document you had to quit photoshop, duplicate a .psd, restart PS, open the file and delete whatever layers happening to be there if you didn't duplicate an already empty .psd
