Default Live Show 3-3-07 on the Internet with a TI

This is a little blurb about my goofy techno band doing another show on Second Life. We of course feature not one but TWO Virus TIs in our rig. We even made sure to make some virtual TIs in Second Life.

MADISON WISCONSIN, February 22--Tinisi Hypermedia and B-Grade Productions present LunaCast, a live Web-based broadcast of original trance, techno and ambient music featuring a realtime interactive stage show in the online virtual world, Second Life. Due to popular demand we are doing two sets for this moon again, making life easier for our British and European friends. We are taking advantage of a Saturday full moon and transmitting from from 1 PM to 4:00 PM CDT(GMT-6) and playing a second set from 8 PM to 12 AM CDT(GMT-6), Saturday March 3rd, 2007. On the day of the show, simply point your browser to http://www.lunacast.com and follow the instructions to tune into the MP3 audio stream or to attend the show in Second Life.

"Our annual winter hibernation is almost over, and we are ready for our second year of shows in Second Life." Said Tinisi Lightworker (AKA Jason Grosz) at a recent interview in the sky lounge at the LunaCast MoonBase on Dimidiata, "We used our deep winter downtime to craft some new beats and rearrange some older tracks. OK, we watched some movies and spent a lot of time napping too, but it all goes into the mix one way or another! We are ready to rock our human, transhuman, furry and artificial intelligence life form audiences until the wee hours, regardless of their meat-space time zone or internal CPU clock setting."

Using the mysterious and ever evolving "Borg," a sentient rack of computers synthesizers and various other sound manipulators the LunaCast house band, robots.txt, spin a dense mix of original electronica. Jason Grosz and Brian Liston of robots.txt play live electronic music combining found sound, spoken word recordings and classic space jams with heavy synthesizer and percussion. Starting in January 2006, the shows will also be promoted and simulcast in the Second Life VR universe, with Jason and Brian "in world" as Tinisi and Cheetah. The shows feature a WebCam so viewers can look in on the performers in meatspace as they sling the beats. As always, robots.txt make themselves available via a Web-based discussion forum and on the ICQ instant messaging system as well as Second Life to interact with the audience in real time.

Icecast technology enables robots.txt to broadcast streaming audio over the Internet. Anyone with a computer, an Internet connection and speakers or headphones can tune in. All instructions and links to download the required software can be found on-line at http://www.lunacast.com.

Lunacast is a production of Tinisi Hypermedia, a Madison Wisconsin based multimedia studio and B-Grade Productions a local recording studio. Contact Jason Grosz for more information at 608-345-9360, via email at lunacast@lunacast.com or on the Web at http://www.lunacast.com.
