You should contact Chris Hector at DSI Support because he not only is one of master code writers (besides Dave himself), but Chris has a Virus Ti as well and could best assist you in this endeavor.
Note that the Monomachine has 6 external midi sequence tracks that each as well as it's own dedicated arp and parameter locks can be utilized on all those external midi instruments just as you can with internal engine, giving you plethora of extremely versatile LFO's. Am sure the Tempest is great, but you could have both an Octatrack and Monomachine for what one Tempest costs
