It could be a sample straight from a pack but don't get too hung up on your kicks, it's each to there own. That kick sounded horrid to me. Although I can spend days changing kicks myself. Still not been happy with the result.

What I do with my kicks is, open an eq, get a tight notch, set to full kill, sweep through the frequencies until I hit that point, then fine movements around that point, possibly releasing the full kill to suit.

I also mono my kicks with a lil roll off right at the bottom. Not forgetting some compression to get those transients up. All to compensate for the final mega squish on the master bus.
