I don't have a TI, but I do own several analog mono's and a Virus KB. If you're new to synthesis in general, I'd suggest checking a few sources to learn the basics of subtractive synthesis first- before attempting to create a sound. You could just start twisting some knobs, but it would help you out alot to know exactly what does what. I've only been playing for a little over a year, so I'm not the guy to teach, however, I found a book and several websites with tutorials that were invaluable to my learning experience. I will say, what you're decribing seems to be more a function of the EG's, starting with a slow attack. Good luck.
