I believe you can put a drinking straw into a glass and then increase the pitch and/or resonant frequency of the tone until the straw starts to dance. The point at which the straw dances the most is the natural resonant frequency of the glass.

Use a single sine wave, and sweep the pitch. Or maybe use a sawtooth and intensely resonate a low- or band-pass filter and sweep it. At least that's how I'd try it. I've always wanted to try it but I only have sturdy glasses, I think you need thin wine glasses.

Use ear plugs.
