You have a valid point in respect to the way the industry works, and I do understand where your coming from and the possibilites (however remote) of some kind of ramification, and the hooker call was probably a tad out of line even if it was meant as an off the cuff joke. And to be fair, if it was an area of the industry I wanted to work in as a composer I would have thought twice before commenting, or at least rephrased vapid whore into something slightly more polite .

When it comes to music and artistic value/innovation/creativity I am not going to shirk away from my opinion. People are allowed to say what they like about my music (and I'm quite sure theres plenty of people out there who either hate it or just think it is shit). Radio would be a much more interesting medium if people said what they thought. I have a lot of respect for announcers who give their opinion and dont just suck up to vapid, soulless swillpop artists during their interviews or when talking about their singles on air. Unfortunately, the way the commercial code of conduct is geared it makes it very dangerous ground to tread. Kind of hard to believe that 40 odd years ago, radio was the place to break music boundaries.
