Dead(ish) Virus KC
About 2 months ago, my virus KC shit the bed. I was distraught, so distraught I ordered a Virus TI2 Darkstar(way beyond my means)... but then the KC magically it came back to life! (or did it)...Then the next day it goes dead again.
I try turning the bastard on every now and again to see if it will boot up. No luck. Then tonight I want to open it... and it turns on! So I take this opportunity to save all my unsaved patches and the presets from banks C-H.
My friend just pointed something out... he says maybe its the internal power channel is messed up. When the unit goes dead, the LFO lights just blink, that's it. Then they go off.
Anyone have similar problems with older virus gear? I'm afraid to shut it off and it will go dead again...
I'm kind of at a loss of what to do... There's possibility I could get an ex-roland technician to look at it sometime in the future.
