Mate i think instantly your sub will give you more headaches then pleasure. From what I have read and heard in other peoples untreated bedrooms, subs tend to just make everything exceedingly hard to mix and judge. I would try mixing with just your monitors, and turning the sub on now and again just to have a quick listen.

I too have moved from a nice room (semi treated, with a nice alcove and a few panels), to a room with huge ceilings, wooden floors, 1936 style victorian house. The difference in what I am hearing out the monitors is absolutely astonishing, and very disheartening as well. Looking into room treatment solutions now myself, so I feel your pain.
