I use Cubase 5.
I load the Virus Control VST. Cubase prompts me to make an "instrument" track for it.
I then create additional midi tracks number 1 through 16 to control each part. The output for these tracks is set to the Virus Control.
Once that's done, I go into Virus Control and go to the very last tab on the right (I use OS 2.7.5 so this may be different if you're using 3.0). There is a drop down menu here that allows you to select the output. I set this to USB1+2.
This works fine to control the Virus over USB with audio also going over USB.
