I assume this works automatically in your Logic? I mean did you explicitly selected an audio device before recording your midi track to another track? If you look at the settings/details of this audio track: What is selected as audio recording device?

Did you configured something at the virus for that part of the midi track that you recording? Does the settings of the COMMON surround menu are of interesst at all? I did not found any other related audio device settings at my snow.
