been listening to jon hopkins albums "opalescent" and "contact note". both are beautifully constructed "downtempo"... though that definition pays little respect to the complexity and detail in his music. the composition reminds me a bit of ulrich schnauss, but he uses much better sounds and production..

regarding binaural beats... there is an iphone app of the same name which is pretty decent at utilizing this phenomenon.
