I agree. The only thing I wish it had was smoother filters (they have audible stepping if you push them too hard), although you can kind of work around it, but it's a massive drawback. Other than that it's in a league of it's own. |
That's something I've found from many synths, it's a bummer. With my MC505 though I thought "bollocks!" and actually tried to turn it into an effect in its own right. Whack up the resonance and then slowly step through the filter cutoff so you can hear it stepping, then whack it through distortion to enhance the stepping further, followed by a nice sounding delay or the like....
... Although of course that misses the point slightly, and is only ok for some applications.
