From any patch - press the EDIT button to left of display then locate the "inputs" page - switch to eiher static or dynamic mode.

If creating a new input patch from scratch, start with ROM A-125 >>INPUT<<

You also need to check the input config settings:

Press config, find the input pages.
Make sure
input-thru is set to 0
set input sensitivity to one of the mid values (cant check what they are as not at home). -5dbV, -8dBV maybe.

As for the two modes:

In static mode, the TI is just a regular FX box - the envelopes are NOT active (unless you enable the input follower).

In dynamic mode, envelopes are active (Filter and Amp env), key follow etc. Dynamic mode is effectively just like a normal non-input patch, except that the oscilators are replaced by the inputs - this means you have to play a key on the keyboard to get a sound, and have envelopes suitably setup etc.
