Synths these days....i dont know. More and more features that only sound designers would wish to utilise (suits me....but what about you?). When will the list of features stop and they actually try and make oscilators that sound fat like analog - you know what i mean?
Its like a chef trying to organise and cook a state dinner using shitty substandard ingredients. I heard nothing in that video that made me think...hmmm thats interesting. If they said they had a couple of analog filters in there (for instance to be used with monophonic bass and lead sounds/patches) then it would suddenly become more attractive to me.
The future of virtual analog, in my opinion will include an analog filter so that bass and lead patches could finally have more oomph. Pad sounds etc dont have to run through an analog filter.....imho
