So what! There's nothing stopping you recording the D-50 to audio, then sending the sample to the V-synth OS.
Being closer to the original is what I'd be chasing for an emulation rather than features. And the VC1 is exact (not like some crappy minimoog softie).

Well I wouldn't consider either of them VAs really. There's a difference between VA and PCM based synths. The 800s are cool synths though - unforuntately the prices have rocketed to the point of "not worth it".
