Default My friend has just sold his Jupiter 8....guess who bought it

Not me

But this is no lie and I swear on my mothers life - Nick Rhodes of Duran Duran bought it. Well, his agent 'Tony' bought it on his behalf. At first I thought my friend was joking...but this is all true

About 5 months ago my friend got his misses pregnant - and so set about raising some money. He advertised it on the SOS website and this guy 'Tony' enquired about it. Tony then sent a cheque for ?1800 to my m8. Then strangely, all went quite - no one came to pick up the synth. 5 months later Tony turns up with some signed photo's and apologised for the delay. I was shocked.

All along I thought my m8 was pulling my leg....but as it turns out the JP8 is now on its way to San Fransisco and is to be used in the recording of Duran Duran's new album. Apparently, the road JP8 finally died (Hence Nick's reliance on the Andromeda A6)....and the studio one was playing up. Since my m8's JP8 was in as-new condition and included the rare Roland midi filter box (to be used only with a JP....it started to make sense.

If that wasnt amazing enough.....the JP8 was packed full of 64 sounds I'd programmed. When Saint Nick turns on his new JP8....he's gonig to be hearing my sounds! Furthermore....the manual which was shipped also....had lots of additional sounds that i wrote down the settings to.

So obviously, im very very excited. I dont expect any of my sounds to be used...but i should imagine they'll back them up....some very good sounds in there.

I know this all sounds unreal....but you'll just have to trust me on this. I'll see if I can upload the signed photos (can't promise though)

The SynthWizard has some advice - Back in the 1980's music was better, TV was better, films were better. Not to mention fashion.... Let me help you relive the past with some classic 80's sounds from my vintage synth collection....
