Go with the FANTOM XR
I own a virus Kc and Nord rack 3 and the Roland Fanton Xr compliments these well with its vast library of real sounds . The sampler is handy when I want to free up some cpu on my Daw. The drum kits are great in the fantom range. Its very easy to expand the sample memory taking both pc133 sdram and PCMIA cards. It has 6 expansion slots , 3 ONBOARD multifx that I use quite alot, 4 outs, 1 digital out , its easy to use and navigate .. all in all I think it was money well spent.
