So Im after some opinions as to how the Andromeda stacks up (sound wise) against, say, a Virus C ...
I had a C and sold it for the TI and I would love some opinions because Im seriously thinking of switching to the andromeda....

Personally i dont think the TI will arrive onto the market with that many bugs. The USB 1 speed 'issue' is not really an issue at all! The bandwidth appears to be more than suffient......even if it was expanded somewhat in later OS updates. Having USB2 would be overkill.....just as current midi is now. Midi has never been fully utilized.......some 25 years after its conception.

The Andromeda is a nice sounding synth. Its analog.....and naturally provides greater authenticity if 'analog sounds' are what your after. I personally use analogs.....and for the most part they are more satisfying than VA. However, VA does bring a distinctly different kinda sound to the table....which is useful. In my opinion the Andromeda sounds a little nicer than the Virus C.....but the difference is not huge. Bigger differences can be heared when comparing to a Prophet or Jupiter.....

At this price point (i.e. high end)....most synths will suffice and do a good job. What the Virus TI does is yet to be seen.....but im pretty confident it will be an improvement over exciting Virus'

The SynthWizard has some advice - Back in the 1980's music was better, TV was better, films were better. Not to mention fashion.... Let me help you relive the past with some classic 80's sounds from my vintage synth collection....
