A friend of mine (Steve Porter) uses the JP8080 for most of his bass lines and they are some of the best sounding basses i've heard (although he is also a filter freak so i'm sure that he effects the hell out of them).
I'm looking into getting a second hand JP8080 when I get back from my Hawaii vacation in May, but who knows maybe i'll have the TI waiting for me when I get back and will be to busy indulging in it's greatness
