You say it sounds like your LPF has increased? It could be tied to an LFO. Maybe it's in a different part of its cycle every time. Try setting the LFO to retrigger everytime a key is pressed. Or take it out altogether. That might stop it!

Yup this is a good point too - specially if the LPF amount seems almost random with each key press.
