Mastering can't improove a bad mix, if mastering was able to "polish a turd",
nobody was using quality sounds in a first place, and nobody was paying any
attention to their mix. The best mastering engineer with the most expansive
hi-end equipement can't turn a shit mix into a gold or a platinum one.

No that is not what I was saying. I was talking about the sound of the "software sequencers", that is the title of the subject. Alot of people knock certain sequencers and their quality but what I was saying, (just to clarify Mr. XLR8A
), is that as long as you have something good going on you can always make the mix sweeter by some good mastering.
