Mastering can't improove a bad mix, if mastering was able to "polish a turd",

No that is not what I was saying. I was talking about the sound of the "software sequencers", that is the title of the subject. Alot of people knock certain sequencers and their quality but what I was saying, (just to clarify Mr. XLR8A ), is that as long as you have something good going on you can always make the mix sweeter by some good mastering.
