What i read; was that Liam was tired of what cubase-version he was using but a friend of him told him to look into Reason; which he did.
He liked the program (and hated the sound of the subtractors) so he sampled everything. So 100% of those songs is samples from his hardware/analogue gear then he'd use Dr.rex to get different types of loops from those samples.
And he thought Reason was quite a nice program to have in his laptop whenever he got an idea, he could quickly put them down as a working mix.

That's the only one left working, and it's an interview with Liam -> I had another link were he said something similiar - but he said; Subtractor was really bad, and malstr?m had some intresting effects but just lacked the sound-quality aswell
