I really like the sound of the strings and pads on the Virus, infact the past 5 or 6 tracks I've polished off that have pads are all VC. I can't see any problems with the Virus doing what your after. It's all personal taste though.
PS. I'm sure you can make sounds that would fit nicely into a German porn flick if you'd like to too.
