Sorry AjmaGard, just went into defensive mode.
I don't dispute the tools in reason are really nice ideas indeed. However, I don't think the non-synth parts of reason are entirely transparent though. They still add a colour to the sound (which in some genres can be fitting or even complimentary). Just the same way an Akai sampler can add that "snap" to a snare. I guess I just don't like the sound that comes from it that much.
