As far as your apreggios go, u can enable recording on your midi track and play your four notes arpeg live. Hit stop, and you'll find the notes you played in the sequencer. Then you can do what u want with them... copy, paste, note length...
And you can also open your sequencer and put your notes directly there without live recording. Thats what i do since i am not a big keyb player
Umm, I use VST32 5.0 and it works excactly the same way Hatembr. Maybe you mean something else?

Once you have midi all worked out DS you will be surprised with the flexibility. Recording to audio straight away kind of sets the sound in stone, but having everything midi first lets you edit the sound for the final recording.

Plus when you record to audio straight away it's difficult to turn lots of knobs as you play isn't it. Well, midi lets you record all knob turns one at a time.
