Personally I think that I'm more into the recording and producing part though. I enjoy the work on the computer, total control of everything, trying out different microphones, different guitar amps etc. Style and genre are just ways to categorise.
It's very easy to categorize a track just within seconds... Ok, this is trance, I f***ing hate this piece of sh**, and then you just turn the thing of. Never giving it a chance just because you've categorized it. Maybe there's some bagpipes or other funny creative things entering later on the track, but very often not. Sad...
