This is the first i've heard of a defective Virus (except the German manual thing that just never stops). Where did you get it? Can you exchange it for a new one?
I had a Supernova 2 (I just Ebay'd it) and I can honestly say (IMHO only) the Virus is much better. I don't think you could get another piece of gear that's better. Maybe the Q+
