Access Virus slow response

Hi gang.
Im using the virus in a live band . When i go from say multi 18 to 17 inbetween songs , the virus takes a very long to change , in a live situation this is not ideal.

Im new on here .
Just got myself a second hand Access Virus TI but cant register it on The Access site .Need to get the new OS 4 , mine as 3.1
Any help would be appreciated
