Yes you will need a MIDI interface. Something cheap like the ones built-in in cables (commonly called "MIDI-USB cables", are actually interfaces) if there are drivers provided should do the trick....

There are no drum kits nor drum maps (à la Waldorf). There are quite a bit of drum patches (either single shot and rhythms) but that's it. I suggest you synthesize and sample your own drum kit...
