Question Clear RAM banks

I want to clear out the RAM banks. (I have a need for plenty of empty places to store my sounds. I always worry that I'm overwriting something that may have been important.)

Is there a way to do...

You know what would be frickin wicked, is a "reset morph" midi CC. You'd tweak up your patch all nice and juicy, then turn this knob on your midi controller baaaack to zero, and all of the parameters...

Virus in Remote mode controls itself?

I'm trying to figure out if I can use Remote mode to control my Virus TI. Basically, I'd like to be able to map the knobs to several parts so I can tweak multiple sounds simultaneously. Is this...

I don't like VC. Is there an alternate patch editor for TI?

Why? I don't like how the TI switches "modes" when it's plugged in via USB. If the USB connection could simply function as a MIDI...

I've only launched VC once; I guess it deserves some more exploration (I'm trying to get away from the soft-synth feel in general).

Good call on the menus. Learning exactly where to find everything...

I've checked out all of the knob modes and already use snap usually. It's just not quite the same... I often find myself checking the midi values of my knobs to hand-enter those CC#'s into my...

erm, this is so basic I'm embarrassed to ask...

Is there a button I can hold before I turn a knob so that I'll just see the knob value without outputting any change to the synth engine?

Most of my...

I only have experience with the TI, but I'm sure your XL is multitimbral. Look in multi-edit to see if you need to set the channel that each part responds to. It sounds like you might have 8 parts...
