I used OCUK to get the parts for my system too - for those of you in the UK this store is highly recommended. Also, check out some of their full system ranges, very expensive but I'm told its worth...

AFAIAA, you have to go into the edit menu and set the volume of the patch to be modulated via velocity. I don't think it is a global thing, you have to do it for every patch.

Yeh I agree - could someone post some tutorials / guides on how to EQ frequencies properly? I would find it helpful as I usually mix by ear and it would be useful to know how to do it properly
