I had this and i installed new drivers new virus...

I had this and i installed new drivers new virus software blah blah, then i remembered i had set my asio to 50 for a kind of old plugn.that was crackling.

when i set ASIO back to 10 then it stopped...

mopho and neutron paradox synth.

although you can have 16 different sounds assigned to 16 midi channels even with the TI you can even start losing notes much earlier with complex patches. but you probably wouldn't want to play them...
