Snow edit mode config, inputs 1/2, adjusted sensitivity to +16dBV and lowered boost to 23. Problem solved! ...

Using the sidechain with atomizer (Snow), is this possible or do i have to plug audio into the the Snows external inputs? I am trying to achieve this in Ableton Live 8.4.

Stick with 2.7.5. I have the Snow as well and that seems to be the most stable for me. OS.3 isn't very stable (given the fact that it is just a beta anyway).
