Dont shoot! Couldn't find manual about LCD Screen (TI2)
Just bought TI2 few days and I've d/l'ed "Quick start" and "Reference" pdf. However, none of them tells me what the LCD screen symbol for. Such as I got a cell phone battery-meter like symbol. What the hell is that? Other than that symbol, I want to know more.
Could you guys pls show me which manual have full explanation of the LCD screen? Thanks! Cowby |
Welcome. :)

With very simple patches you have have up to 80 notes polyphony. With more complex patches you have considerably less. Things like oscillator type and unison contribute to lesser polyphony, for example. Some oscillator types are more power hungry than others. Unison multiplies instances of the sound for a thicker sound, at the expense of polyphony. Often it's about compromise but this shouldn't be too much of an issue with the TI, it has lots of DSP power compared to former Virus models (Virus C/B). |
Thanks Timo,

Thanks Timo,
how about the "SE" and a note symbol ? I sometimes see them in the lower right conrner. Why there is no manaul explaining about it :) |
SE, I think that's when System Exclusive (MIDI) messages are sent to/from the virus.
I think the little picture of a note (quaver) shows when normal MIDI messages (notes, velocity, CC, etc.) are sent to/from the Virus. I'm not totally sure, it might be just SE data as opposed to just normal notes, I don't have my Virus in front of me at the mo. |
Thanks Timo, I had no idea either what some of those symbols mean.
You'd think that for a synth costing £2000 they would pretty much cover this in the manual  |
