Anyone know if I can replicate this feature from Zebra 2.5 on a Polar TI
Hey, I'm trying to replicate the 'keyscale' function in Zebra 2.5 on my Virus TI. In case you don't know what this does basically it enables you to control the volume of an oscillator across the keyboard....ie: I can set it so that an oscillator plays progressivly quieter as I play lower notes. Anyone know if this is possible on the Virus TI

Use the matrix. Source = Key Follow. Destination = Osc volume or Patch volume. Positive value increases volume from low to high notes, negative value the reverse :)

I was gonna say.. Zebra offers some crazy stuff that the virus most likely does not, with regard to modularity, multi-segment envelopes, user defined filters, etc. But I think keyscaling a particular parameter (usually volume or cutoff) is pretty much mainstream with any synth.

Ahhhh! Thanks so much. Just to be clear though: I have a patch utilizing 3 Oscs but I only want to keyscale Osc1.....still possible through the Matrix???

It requires targeting "oscillator balance" in the matrix (in order to shift it progressively to the point where osc1 isn't audible anymore and there's only osc2 (and of course any other source that isn't affected by osc balance: sub osc, osc3, noise))

nice one! thanks for all the help everyone.

All Zebra needs is external audio source or to work as an EFX plugin, then the virus could be routed through Zerbra :) Now that would be nice...
