Virus Ti Patches On Earlier Virus Models?
 

Do Ti patches work on earlier Virus models? Much like how Virus C patches worked on the Virus B.

Of course, wavetables / hypersaw wouldn't be available, but does it just default to saw or something like that and still load up?

I think they should , I used to load virus C patches into my B without problems

Yes. they work. In fact, you can download all the old soundbanks from Access and make them 2010-proof!

Judging by the last part of your message, it sounds like you thought I was talking about Virus B => Virus TI. I'm talking about Virus TI Patches => Virus B ?? Patches with hypersaw and wavetables and such.

What happens when you try?

Ah sorry I must have misread. Most likely the patch will load, but just not with the new elements

C patches work on earlier virus but TI patches are not backward compatible.

I have tried loading TI patches into my Virus C without success. Even the ones available on the Access website dont load.
