Hi, i've borrowed my mates virus and I'm going to be cheeky and ask for advice on making a sound without spending too much time trying myself, i have tried a little but i think i need some advice on what kind of things to play with

I hadnt spent much time on it when i posted this but last night i sat for a few hours trying and couldn't get a result. Any pointers/tips would be very helpful

Moving it over here - sounds like it's using two oscillators, one (the sub) of which is -12 or -24 tones below the first, and then both are high-passed. Cutoff modulated by EG, and LFO in env mode. A bit of resonance for squelch, and a bit of distortion over the top.

Sounds like there's some lo-fi, harmonic distortion on there too, such as rate-reduction or bit-crushing. The Virus has this available (selectable either on the filter saturation modelling, or the dedicated distortion effect).
